Radio Shows

The “Adults with Disabilities” public interest radio show hosted by North Star Community Services and aired weekly on KNWS-AM radio (1090) on Saturdays at 9:50 a.m. has a new program listing.

Groups and Workshops

Alzheimer's Support Group - First Thursday at 3:00 p.m. every month at Newel Post Adult Day Services & Respite Center, 1108 Tiffany Place, Waterloo.  Free respite care for your loved one provided on site during the support group meeting.  For families, friends, and caregivers.  For directions, call Newel Post Adult Day Services Center, 319-234-1391 or e-mail the Director of Newel Post: Rose Hartz at the Alzheimer's Association 319-272-2300.

"Estate and Financial Planning Workshop -  for the Public and for Families of Individuals with Disabilities" - 3420 University Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701.  Experts from Community National Bank Trust Department, Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Aging, and an attorney specializing in estate planning volunteer their time to provide you with information and answers to your questions.  For directions, call 236-0901 in Waterloo or 888-879-1365 outside of the Waterloo calling area.
