Mark Witmer, Executive
Director of North Star Community Services, envisions the
possibility that individuals with disabilities can reach potential,
pursue dreams, and enjoy life, primarily by living
and
working in the community, where he says, "we all belong." Witmer holds a
BS in Social Work from Bemidji State University in Minnesota and an MS
in Educational Administration from the University of North Dakota, and
has served individuals with disabilities for more than 25 years. He has
headed North Star Community Services (Adults Incorporated), since 1992.
A current Surveyor for CARF - the Rehabilitation Accreditation
Commission, Witmer is also a Trainer / Speaker for the Regional Continuing
Education Program in Rehabilitation Administration at the University of
Missouri - Columbia. |
